Cosplay Feature: Holly Bean Cosplay's Sypha from Castlevania!

Photo by David Ngo By the time you're reading this, I will have just gotten back from my first convention of the year, PAX East! You can hear all about it in a brand new episode of CosplayBytes! For now, let's go back a little bit further to MAGFest from January for even more gaming related cosplays. Holly Bean Cosplay here brought along her cosplay of the devoted mage Sypha from the Castlevania anime adaptation aired on Netflix. By the time of this posting, the original has aired two seasons plus a spin off called Nocturne starring another Belmont Descendant. You'll notice that even if the cosplay is relatively simple in its design, I love both the pose work that Holly has done in addition to the edited photos that came out of this. Starting from the top, Holly is rocking a short orange wig with a variety of curls and wefts seen on her sides and from the back. Then you have the main top piece all in a light shade of blue and layered.

Cosplay Feature: Mia's Zatanna!

One of the cosplayers I met at New York Comic Con this past weekend was Mia, or as she goes by her cosplay page "Ani-Mia". I recently started following her earlier in the year and have grown to like many of her cosplays. Perhaps though my favorite of hers thus far is her Zatanna (hence the title!). Seeing this outfit in person is a whole different story. She looked absolutely incredible and it definitely favors her figure. Zatanna also happens to be one of my favorite female characters in the DC Universe!

Mia's Zatanna is made up of several known pieces of clothing that the character wears in the comics. Top hat, a white corset, stockings for her legs and a top part of a black long sleeved shirt. I love how the black lace bra is placed in the outfit and Mia's hair is also very attractive in these photos. High heels, all that good stuff. The pictures here showcase obviously her in various poses, some of which involve playing cards/magic cards.

Yes she looks very attractive in the outfit and the photos came out great! I was geeking out when she told me on Friday of NYCC that she brought along this outfit for Saturday and well, you've probably seen the pictures! Other pieces of the outfit include gloves and that the backside of the shirt includes a flap/skirt like element which helps cover up her backside. Mia is definitely a classy Zatanna ^_^. Hope you guys enjoy the pictures from her shoot in this outfit!
