Shutting One Door, Keeping others Open

UPDATED ON 8/20/21: Facebook, Patreon and Blog IG pages have been shutdown/discontinued As the COVID pandemic rages on and cons are even shutting down into 2021, it got me thinking on a drive home one night about how I'd feel with even coming back to blogging. When cons eventually do come back at some point. Truth be told, many of the posts and content I shared here could be transferred over to more discussions via my podcast CosplayBytes. I've been blogging my love for games, cons and cosplay for 7 years now and maybe it's time to say goodbye for now? My podcast has gotten me some incredible opportunities as a member of Press for conventions, and the rapid love I've had for streaming is also taking up a lot of time now. On top of multiple personal things on my end, I don't think I have the energy to keep this up even post COVID you know? The very first cosplay centered post I wrote was on Jessica Nigri's Deadpool, and since then it's spawned over 800 posts

This week I want to show one of my favorite cosplayers the lovely Linda Le (or as she is known online as Vampy Bit Me). What I love about her is that it seems like she's constantly making new cosplays every week and they're all top-notch and incredibly well made. When I found out she was going to do one of my favorite superheroes (which just so happens to be hers as well) I was super excited to see the end results. When I first met Linda she cosplayed as the Arkham City version of Nightwing, I was able to get a picture with her while wearing my own Nightwing and it was so amazing!

Fast forward to a few months ago and Linda went on and tackled the New 52 design. It looks fabulous and she has every detail of his outfit right down to the sewn in lines. I'll be honest, as she was working on it and looking through her progress photos I became extremely intimidated and worried that my upgrades to Nightwing weren't going to look as polished as her outfit. But she happily encouraged me to keep going! Here are some awesome photos down below! :D Oh and I get to see her this weekend so that's exciting!
