Struck First gives you a first look at a cosplay just as it's been debuted/had its first photoshoot. Cosplayers have been kind enough to let me have a first crack at analyzing the cosplay by providing me with brand new pictures.
It hasn't been that long actually since I last shared League of Larcy's work here but OH MAN did I need to talk about this gorgeous thing today. Along with Mink the Satyr and a handful of other cosplayers, various versions of Vaporeon. Mink's for example was all on the Victorian side of things, whereas Larcy here looks like a warrior ready for a fight! With this being Vaporeon (Eevee's water evolution), you should already expect a whole lot of blue in terms of color scheme. Some green is thrown in there with multiple small spikes on the armor pieces. Starting from the top, Larcy has a dark blue crown with the fins attached to it. These have a yellowish-green fabric in-between blue trim. The wig is long in style and is a gorgeous shade of turquoise!

Larcy really went all out with this cosplay and many other parts showcase this fact. Face paint was added in and she has a green to blue gradient going on here. Multiple armor pieces were made for her shoulders, legs, and hip. They all match the chest piece which has that turquoise shade of paint around the mini spikes and in various lines. Some of these parts also have an added in net just laid out on top. That's such an awesome addition in my opinion. After the chest piece is a long piece of blue fabric that's sort of like a sash.
One piece of it drapes down the middle and it overall has this pattern that very much resembles fish scales. Surrounding the draping fabric is a giant skirt done in a much darker blue with a light blue gradient down at the bottom. It looks a little tattered and has the effect as if it was thrown around in the water for a bit. Larcy really went all out in being as authentic as she can be for Vaporeon. Weapon wise, you can see a trident that certainly looks light in its weight.

The trident has a lot of bronze and dark blue going on for color. The fork park even has that rusted look that objects get when they're in the ocean for long periods of time! A gold gem can be seen decorating the center part of the fork. I'd say it's likely that Larcy took a pre-existing trident and just went to town making it the way it looks now. Her legs/feet are covered in armor plating similar to the parts I talked about earlier. There's also Vaporeon's tail made and sticking out the back of Larcy's cosplay. You can only see it in one of the shots I found for you guys. HOLY smokes though the waterfall photos are absolutely incredible. It adds even more to the character overall and I have a feeling that Larcy loves the tough like poses she did in them. Check these pics out :)

Larcy is just a superbly talented gal and has been a wonderfully sweet friend of mine :). You definitely don't wanna skip out following her work and other creations! Go fix that now!
