Cosplay Feature: Laney Feni's Supergirl!

Photo by Maze Studio The last time I shared cosplayer Laney Feni, it was via her amazing Fem Aquaman cosplay she did a few years ago. Originally for today's piece I wanted to gush over how stellar she looks in her Post-Apocalyptic version of Supergirl but that led me to sharing with you another version that's more of the character's classic look. If you were to dive into her cosplay portfolio, Laney has definitely cosplayed Kara Zor-El numerous times but this version draws heavy inspiration in both the design and feel of the old Zack Snyder take on Superman. Between this classic design and the other variant I mentioned earlier, the only difference really boils down to pants and the cape's use. We'll get to that later of course! For starters, Kara's look here consists of a long sleeved tank top like piece and pants with the midriff being shown. I'm pretty sure that this is Laney's natural hair too which really is perfect for Supergirl!

Cosplay Roundup: Finishing up Steampunk Nightwing and Greninja!

For the course of the past few weeks, I've been hard at work on my Greninja gijinka and Steampunk Nightwing. Much has been accomplished with the latter being finished and Greninja needing just his headpiece which requires Worbla to make so I'm saving up for buying 2 sheets. 1 outfit for NY Comic Con down, 2 more to go!

For the last part of Nightwing, I went and purchased a World War 2 Era leather hat alongside red leather paint. The process was fairly simple thanks to the tutorial I found online. The emblem isn't exactly dead set in the center but it's pretty damn close and I'm super happy with how it came out alongside the entire outfit being worn which you can see down below!

For Greninja I managed to find pads for my elbows and knees at a sports store that came close to what I actually wanted. After having a fun conversation with one of the employees who was helping me out I definitely felt accomplished! I also went and bought blue fabric to cut out more ninja star shapes which will be probably taped onto the pants I'm wearing. Honestly I don't know what to do for his shoes so I may just either wear regular shoes or if anything, something that's blue.
