Cosplay Feature: Laney Feni's Supergirl!

Photo by Maze Studio The last time I shared cosplayer Laney Feni, it was via her amazing Fem Aquaman cosplay she did a few years ago. Originally for today's piece I wanted to gush over how stellar she looks in her Post-Apocalyptic version of Supergirl but that led me to sharing with you another version that's more of the character's classic look. If you were to dive into her cosplay portfolio, Laney has definitely cosplayed Kara Zor-El numerous times but this version draws heavy inspiration in both the design and feel of the old Zack Snyder take on Superman. Between this classic design and the other variant I mentioned earlier, the only difference really boils down to pants and the cape's use. We'll get to that later of course! For starters, Kara's look here consists of a long sleeved tank top like piece and pants with the midriff being shown. I'm pretty sure that this is Laney's natural hair too which really is perfect for Supergirl!

Cosplay Feature: Destiny Nickelsen's Belle (Moulin Rouge Style)!

If there's one thing Destiny Nickelsen does with her cosplays, it's put an incredible amount of detail for each and every outfit she makes. Some of which look crazy beautiful. This outfit here is no exception of showing Destiny's talent! The outfit here was done for Dragon*Con last year based off a design found on deviantArt which depicted the Disney Princesses in a Moulin Rouge style look. The princess in question here is Belle from Beauty and the Beast. The cosplay is frilly and extravagant with the flower up at the top of the corset like top and the skirt going just about as much as it needs to with the rest definitely showing off her legs (which look awesome).

The dress extends down along the back and the stockings for her leg are an interesting mix of white going down to a light/pastel yellow by her feet. The skirt down at the bottom is the perfect shade of brown referencing I'm guessing Belle's brown hair? Speaking of hair, Destiny's wig is incredible here, with a rose pinned to it since you know...roses are important in the movie itself. The fron of the dress is outlined with buttons, lines and all the things that make the dress fit the style derived here. Alongside Destiny's Belle, lots of other cosplayers caught the Moulin Rouge bug for Dragon*Con with cosplayers doing Ariel, Snow White, Aurora and others part of the design. I've got some pictures showing off how incredible the outfit is so I hope you guys enjoy them :)

She's so pretty :)
