Cosplay Feature: Holly Bean Cosplay's Sypha from Castlevania!

Photo by David Ngo By the time you're reading this, I will have just gotten back from my first convention of the year, PAX East! You can hear all about it in a brand new episode of CosplayBytes! For now, let's go back a little bit further to MAGFest from January for even more gaming related cosplays. Holly Bean Cosplay here brought along her cosplay of the devoted mage Sypha from the Castlevania anime adaptation aired on Netflix. By the time of this posting, the original has aired two seasons plus a spin off called Nocturne starring another Belmont Descendant. You'll notice that even if the cosplay is relatively simple in its design, I love both the pose work that Holly has done in addition to the edited photos that came out of this. Starting from the top, Holly is rocking a short orange wig with a variety of curls and wefts seen on her sides and from the back. Then you have the main top piece all in a light shade of blue and layered.

Another photographer I have for you guys actually comes from my wonderful friend Azura Cosplay! Lienad.photo has done some pretty rad work with several cosplayers I've had the pleasure of knowing, plus there's work from Katsucon 2018 that I have to share with you! Looking at the pictures, I feel that he places an emphasis on the model as some of the shots show them very defined in their figure outline. Some photos look as if the cosplayer is an action figure which is pretty freaking awesome. The end result to the shots also look a bit on the dark side in terms of saturation levels. Possibly some messing around with Levels in Photoshop or something. I'm not a photographer by any means so I'm just spit-balling terms/guesses here XD.

Many of the photos I selected for you guys seem to have been from Katsucon so yay for fairly recent shots! Katsu as a con has some impressive scenery as I've mentioned before so Lienad definitely took advantage of that. As with previous Photographer Spotlights, the description is brief, and I'm gonna let the shots do the talking :D. Enjoy everyone!
