Shutting One Door, Keeping others Open

UPDATED ON 8/20/21: Facebook, Patreon and Blog IG pages have been shutdown/discontinued As the COVID pandemic rages on and cons are even shutting down into 2021, it got me thinking on a drive home one night about how I'd feel with even coming back to blogging. When cons eventually do come back at some point. Truth be told, many of the posts and content I shared here could be transferred over to more discussions via my podcast CosplayBytes. I've been blogging my love for games, cons and cosplay for 7 years now and maybe it's time to say goodbye for now? My podcast has gotten me some incredible opportunities as a member of Press for conventions, and the rapid love I've had for streaming is also taking up a lot of time now. On top of multiple personal things on my end, I don't think I have the energy to keep this up even post COVID you know? The very first cosplay centered post I wrote was on Jessica Nigri's Deadpool, and since then it's spawned over 800 posts

Cosplay Feature: Missyeru's Scar Gijinka!

I've never gave cosplayer Missyeru a proper feature and after following her for several months I definitely wanted to change that :). Debuted at Wonder*Con this year, Michelle created a gijinka around one of Disney's infamous villains Scar. She also had a partner with fellow cosplayer Lindsay Elyse as Mufasa (still awesome to say his name by the way ^^). Not to mention Lisa Lou Who jumping in on the fun with her Nala! It's apparent in the pictures I have for you guys that Michelle got inspiration from African style clothing in creating Scar. The variety of earth tones that make up her outfit is very fitting considering they're mainly on the darker side of tones. She also has a variety of jewelry and trinkets on her wrists and neck.

The ears Michelle's wearing look incredibly cute considering Scar is well...a murderer XD. The incredibly long black wig also looks wonderful on her. Missyeru also outlined her nails with sharp black claws, not to mention the makeup is awesome! The scar placement over her eye is just perfect! All the photos have Michelle look menacing as well as mischievous. I especially love her grin in one of the pictures I found for you guys.

The lower part of her dress is seen with multiple layers of fabric over each other which I imagine is traditional in African style fashion. I'm surprised I haven't had the chance to meet Missyeru yet though I'd very much like to. Even though she mainly does lots of League of Legends cosplays, branching away here and there is always good to see :). Enjoy the other pictures guys!
