STRUCK FIRST: CutiePieSensei's Khal Jasmine!

Struck First gives you a first look at a cosplay just as it's been debuted/had its first photoshoot. Cosplayers have been kind enough to let me have a first crack at analyzing the cosplay by providing me with brand new pictures.

So this was certainly an interesting mashup that I got glimpses of when it debuted at DragonCon a few months back! CutiePieSensei found these designs re-imagining Disney Princesses as characters from Game of Thrones and managed to get a few cosplayers to join in! Since I binged the entirety of the series, I got more appreciation for mashups like this! So who did CutiePie end up cosplaying as? How about Jasmine as Khal Drogo? Thinking about this combination more, it makes a whole lot of sense and the design overall is pretty fantastic! From the top, there's Jasmine's iconic hairstyle and tiara done in white. Dead center here is a jewel in blue/green. My guess is that resin played a part in creating this. Dark grey earrings come next before we then see a collar bracelet. The markings going down her shoulders reference the same kind of markings that Drogo has in the show!

A small white top starts the dress and here it has pieces overlapping on the main section. They look to have been sewn on top to give a slightly layered look! CutiePie then has a dark brown corset that looks to have that rugged leather feel to it. Around her waist is a belt with several buckles covering it. The pants are really interesting here thanks to the awesome gradient effect. Jasmine's main blue color starts it off but then gradually turns into brown and stops at the ankles. White makes up the center portion here too! It sort of looks like these colors are over-layed on a much darker shade of brown.

CutiePie is wearing brown gloves that have a puffy look to them. Her shoes also have a pointed tip going outwards. Weapon wise, she's seen dual wielding a crescent shaped hook which is a main weapon to the Dothraki and a small dagger in the other hand. The shots taken were done in front of a stone archway and oh man is that just the perfect backdrop. CutiePie does a fabulous job posing and you can really see the blue stand out in some of them!
