Cosplay Showcase: Shappi Workshop's Winged Victory Mercy!

I've always loved the skins that Mercy has in Overwatch. There's of course the iconic default one, but a large variety of her outfits are incredibly beautiful to look at. So that's the main reason why I have Shappi Workshop and her Winged Victory Mercy for today's post. Overall the theme here seems to derive from Ancient Greek ideas and design. From the leaf that decorates her headgear, to the color scheme of white, blue and gold. You've got the metal parts being more of a bronze shade as well. Starting from the top, the headgear is that same medal shade with the leaf I mentioned earlier. Shappi's wig is spot on with that signature bang style on one side. It's also a beautiful shade of blonde! A collar piece is wrapped around her neck before you get into the main areas of the cosplay.

Blue straps are visible first on the sides that appear to go over her shoulders. Two circles with leafs behind them act as clasps to connect together. It looks like this blue piece extends a bit down the back like a drape of sorts. The main white piece has a lot of gold straps/trims in various locations. The sleeves have an opening on her shoulders and end at the forearm. The remainder of Shappi's arms is decorated with a few bangles done in that same metal shade. A rope is seen as the sash wrapped around her waist.

The bottom half of this main white piece looks to end shortly on her legs but has a middle section. This middle part has that classic tabard look with being draped farther down than the rest. The variety of gold patterns seen is really rad to look at not to mention clean as well! Like the arms, whatever isn't covered for Shappi's legs is instead made up of several leg bangles as well as thin straps. These straps connect to the footwear which really has that Greek inspiration kicking in. Being sandals must have been a treat for Shappi in terms of comfort when it came to walking around for long periods of time!

For Mercy's wings, they look to be attached through some mechanism on Shappi's back. The top portion is covered with metal bronze and the remainder is made up of several large white feathers. I'm not entirely sure what these look to be done with but my gut is saying foam or a light material or sorts. Some of the shots make them look pretty solid which is why I have that guess. All of the shots have this beautiful outdoor setting which is just perfect for this Mercy skin. Not to mention Shappi is killing it with the poses. Her smile in all of the shots evokes a super warm feeling! Check them out down below!
