Shutting One Door, Keeping others Open

UPDATED ON 8/20/21: Facebook, Patreon and Blog IG pages have been shutdown/discontinued As the COVID pandemic rages on and cons are even shutting down into 2021, it got me thinking on a drive home one night about how I'd feel with even coming back to blogging. When cons eventually do come back at some point. Truth be told, many of the posts and content I shared here could be transferred over to more discussions via my podcast CosplayBytes. I've been blogging my love for games, cons and cosplay for 7 years now and maybe it's time to say goodbye for now? My podcast has gotten me some incredible opportunities as a member of Press for conventions, and the rapid love I've had for streaming is also taking up a lot of time now. On top of multiple personal things on my end, I don't think I have the energy to keep this up even post COVID you know? The very first cosplay centered post I wrote was on Jessica Nigri's Deadpool, and since then it's spawned over 800 posts

Cosplay Feature: Li Kovacs' Biker Rosalina!

You have no idea how long I've had this feature originally planned you guys. I've kept it this long waiting for more photos of this cosplay so hopefully the 3 that I have are enough. When Li Kovacs revealed she was constructing Rosalina in a bike suit as seen in the Mario Kart series, I became incredibly excited. Rosalina is my favorite video game princess and I find her much more pleasing to look at than Peach. It's that hair over the eye you guys LOOK AT IT! The cosplay is mainly a spandex tight suit with a star pendant right in the center. Li did a fantastic job on the wig with capturing the way it looks on her. The color scheme matches Rosalina's original teal green dress and Li also modified a pair of boots to go along with the cosplay!

The crown at the top of the wig is silver with some red gems around it. For the photoshoot pics, Li had a friend of hers lend her a bike to use. It was decorated by decals that Li created and re-colored to match a bike in the game. The belt was also purchased and matched the rest of the suit perfectly. In addition to the photoshoot pics, I have a few of the work-in-progress pictures that she uploaded while this was being worked on. I am completely in love with the final result and even though Li stated she had troubles with it, for me it came out amazing! I really hope I get to properly meet her at a convention next year! Hope you guys enjoy the cosplay!
