Cosplay Feature: Kate Sarkissian's Feraligatr!

Photo by Kris Andi Anime Expo has come and gone and it's always a blast seeing what cosplayers bring whether it's a tried and true outfit or something brand new. I feel like for many of the conventions Kate's attended, she has a drive to create something brand new. It's definitely fun watching her share mini crafting videos on her Instagram stories. Nice little glimpse into the WIP setup! When it was shared that she was going to be doing a gijinka of Feraligatr from Pokemon's second generation, I really got amped up and excited. If you're not aware, Totodile is my all time favorite Pokemon starter and his evolution line is pretty fantastic. My own history with Feraligatr on my team goes all the way back to the days of Pokemon Colosseum! Kate's version of the water type is definitely skimpy in some ways but when you're in the blazing summer heat in CA, you got to make sure you're comfortable right? Cosplay Feature: Rachel Nycole's BotW Zelda

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild definitely gave longtime fans a refreshing take on the franchise and characters many have grown up with in a sense. Voice acting was added in as was a drastic change in the principal character. Course that just meant cosplayers would soon flock to these design changes and Rachel Nycole did an amazing job with Zelda. Her look in this game is much less royal and more practical as she journeyed with Link as seen in the Memories. For starters, a white base shirt is seen making up most of the cosplay. Up near the top is where a pattern can be seen. A closer inspection shows that same pattern echoed through the piece. Over the white shirt is a blue top with yellow accents for the trim. The design made in the middle is reminiscent of how the Hylian Shield looks in certain parts. Plus the Triforce logo is seen at the bottom as a button.

That same blue/yellow setup is shown again in the lower areas. Being placed just at the start of the pants. There's even a brown knapsack attached here at Rachel's hip. A large brown leather like belt is wrapped around her waist as well. Black leather gloves are seen too. The prop is very much the same Shiekah Slate you use in the game. It was expertly crafted to get the patterns and design just right overall! The wrist bands are also yellow and blue in nature bringing the cosplay together.

Rachel is sporting elf ears and has a spot on wig. Long flowing blonde hair with braids on the top. There's also small blue hair clips inserted too. The Shiekah Slate can also be attached to the brown belt! Rachel's makeup looks incredibly soft almost portraying a fragile/innocent nature. The photos are pretty fantastic, the outdoor background is BEYOND perfect. As if Rachel was in the actual game herself! <3
