Shutting One Door, Keeping others Open

UPDATED ON 8/20/21: Facebook, Patreon and Blog IG pages have been shutdown/discontinued As the COVID pandemic rages on and cons are even shutting down into 2021, it got me thinking on a drive home one night about how I'd feel with even coming back to blogging. When cons eventually do come back at some point. Truth be told, many of the posts and content I shared here could be transferred over to more discussions via my podcast CosplayBytes. I've been blogging my love for games, cons and cosplay for 7 years now and maybe it's time to say goodbye for now? My podcast has gotten me some incredible opportunities as a member of Press for conventions, and the rapid love I've had for streaming is also taking up a lot of time now. On top of multiple personal things on my end, I don't think I have the energy to keep this up even post COVID you know? The very first cosplay centered post I wrote was on Jessica Nigri's Deadpool, and since then it's spawned over 800 posts

Cosplay Feature: Bindi Smalls' Bunny Suit Eevee!

I was recommended by cosplayer Marie Grey to check out Bindi Smalls and her work. Mostly because at the time, she had just debuted her Nova from Starcraft at BlizzCon. What was unique about hers was that the armor pieces were 3D-Printed! That in itself is pretty dang amazing. While her Nova isn't what I'm showing you today (got another cosplayer with the same outfit planned!), her Bunny Suit Eevee definitely caught my eye. LOOK AT HOW CUTE SHE IS!! This cosplay was also part of a huge group at Dragon*Con this past year set up by Stella Chuu (who I featured with her Vaporeon here) and was alongside many other cosplayers (like Vanity Fox and her Umbreon)! Getting into Bindi's outfit, the same template applies with all the others. A frontal piece colored with Eevee's brown base and the leggings being a much lighter shade.

Around her neck, Bindi has a small choker of sorts decorated in white fur. This of course being a callback to the Pokemon's furry neck. White fur can also be spotted along her waist sides as well. The ears were done so well and it practically blends in with the wig. Speaking of which, the wig is beautiful. Bangs traveling down the sides, and some of the pictures make it look incredibly shiny. Combine that with Bindi's makeup, and she looks so beautiful! However it's the tail on her backside that is another standout part.

The tail is curled upwards like Eevee's is in the game/show and looks to be made of similar material as the choker fur. I'm willing to guess it was filled up with stuffing and maybe some wiring in order to have that shape stick. The photos really highlight each part of Bindi's outfit and I love how cute she looks in them. There's the big group shot of everyone part of the group down below but what's included are also the shiny versions of the Eeveelutions. You'd be right in saying of course Bindi's in the center since well, she's Eevee after all :). Enjoy the pictures guys!

Definitely go check out Bindi Smalls' page on Facebook! She's done some amazing outfits and you'll get to see photos from her Nova that I mentioned at the beginning of this feature. I know I'll be featuring her again soon :D
