Cosplay Feature: Jess Blaze Cosplay's Lady Luck Rikku!

If there's one thing I can count on Jess Blaze to do, is cosplaying all the Final Fantasy waifus your heart desires. She's certainly no stranger to Rikku's look from FF X-2 but I really loved this additional costume change done for the character. Those not familiar with X-2's gameplay, it involves the traditional job system from previous entries but adds in the fun mechanic of changing clothes. Dress-spheres in this case! One such job is the Lady Luck sphere which deals with a lot of abilities based on the classic Gambler job. I'm mostly assuming because it's been both years since I replayed X-2 and I don't even think I used this class in particular for any of the three main characters. With all that intro out of the way, let's get to the cosplay itself! Upon looking at the pictures, Jess mentions in one of the captions that the cosplay itself is no longer in her possession. This is due to how uncomfortable it was to wear at the convention she debuted it

Cosplay Showcase: ALL HAIL BOWSETTE

Kinpatsu Cosplay

If you've been on the internet the past several weeks since Nintendo's last Direct, strong odds are you've seen the madness (and sexiness) that is Bowsette. The Super Crown take on Bowser has taken the cosplay world by storm and everyone is jumping in on this. Cosplayers ranging from Kinpatsu, Jessica Nigri, Kaybear, Kristen Lanae and a slew of others. I thought it would be best to do an overall look on the outfit as drawn and share the many talented ladies who've cosplayed as the femme fatale. Bowsette's design empowers that dominatrix vibe. A single black leotard with an opening at the chest. This is one spot where cosplayers vary that take, mainly on how much cleavage they wish to show. At the center point, is a blue brooch similar to what's on Princess Peach's design. Spike bracelets cover the arms and wrists, these look to be done with foam or a variety of materials.

The blonde wig is done in a similar style to Peach but there's also a red-head/dark skin variant of Bowsette which Kaybear did a take on as did several other cosplayers. The signature crown has either been done by hand or commissioned by other prop makers for the cosplayers. Coming out of the wig are Bowser's signature horns done in full blown white. The spikes also make a return on necks and sometimes the legs.

In the leg area, it also varies to either spandex or fishnets. Some cosplayers included a tail and many have the others signature piece: the shell. Many cosplayers did a fabulous job in crafting it and some went ham like Jessica Nigri adding in a small car with a full on paint job. The shell gets some action in the poses and looks absolutely amazing. Some cosplayers have taken the longer route in wanting to really give jaw-dropping outfits so I'm all for Bowsette sticking around for as long as it needs. Check out the many other photos I collected for this Showcase!
