Today as I begin my journey to NYCC, I just had to share with you all the amazingness that is AtelierHeidi! Having seen her in passing at Katsucon (prior to that of course fangirling over her work), I just needed to showcase her work! She shared finished shots of her Zelda (the Twilight Princess version) and holy smokes was I blown away. Zelda here is MUCH more regal than the versions we've seen in previous entries of the legendary series. The cosplay as a whole includes parts commissioned like the impressive Bow of Light by Volpin Props, and stellar elf ears from Geekling Creations. Everything else was handmade by Heidi and seriously I'm in love with the details. The outfit itself has the classic purple and white color combo along with healthy additions of golden/bronze armor. Why not start with that yea? The armor is a very neat set of shoulder pieces that look to have been done in a similar fashion (material-wise) to the tiara that's on top of Heidi's head.
The armor also has insane etching details too! Long white gloves cover her arms with some engraved details up by her wrist. These are done in that same bronze color. The purple portion of the dress is done in two shades with the lighter one smack dab in the middle. You can see small gold chains which come together at a decoration which extends down to the tabard that majority of Zelda cosplays include. This decoration piece is same in color as the armor with a gorgeous blue stone placed in the middle.
The tabard is BEAUTIFULLY MADE LIKE HOLY SMOKES GUYS! The textures are insane and there's some gradient dye involved up near the top. The red crest lines surround the famous Triforce logo. Down near the bottom of the tabard is full on gold and white segmented from each other. The white dress has insane detailing that must have been part of the base fabric Heidi selected (if not then I'm just gonna walk away in disbelief cause I LOVE THIS). Along the bottom is a gold trim encircling the dress. Bronze is also a color used here too!
The wig is actually insane also. The front braids travel down to part of her arms and are wrapped up in white fabric. You can also see how it's woven from different colored wigs (unless extensions were used OR this is how the whole wig looked :O). The close up views of the Tiara are gorgeous and again, the center section is rocking that same blue shaded gem. Out of the shots I gathered, the first one gives you a really good look at her signature Bow of Light. The detailing and coloring is superb and it's proportionately perfect to Heidi's stature. Seriously that photo makes her look like a force to be reckoned with :D. Speaking of which, the photos are simply phenomenal. The location these shots were taken is a place called Deception Falls which the two of them took a trip to recently, and it's pretty perfect for the Princess of Destiny. Like all of them are wallpaper worthy! Check it out gang!
