Cosplay Feature: RiderCGA's King Daredevil!

Photo by Chazzy Baragiola The combination of being snowed in from the blizzard this past week PLUS being hooked hard into Cyberpunk 2077 made this post about a day late. Apologies for the delay but let's get started! I came across RiderCGA's awesome Daredevil during my collection of MAGFest pics so this is probably the last one for that specific convention. As you'll see from the images I found, Rider has a really awesome look/take on the Man Without Fear. Further research indicates that this is known as King Daredevil and is the title Matt Murdock took during a run back in 2022! Starting from the top, you can see a lot of red and black went into this look for the character. The top includes a red hood that hides just about the top of the mask the character is well known for. Small peek at the horns too!

Cosplay Feature: Holly Wolf's Princess Zelda

Nintendo had a packed Nintendo Direct over the last month or so with games that most of us were not completely expected to see. One of these titles was a brand new top-down Legend of Zelda done in the style of the recent Link's Awakening remake on the Switch. Titled Echoes of Wisdom, you get to play as Zelda in the main role as a series first when it comes to the main-line Zelda games. The titular princess herself donned a new look as she travels out in secret to help save Hyrule alongside Link who has subsequently vanished. All this talk aside means that cosplayers were overjoyed with a new take on the character to make an outfit on. Holly Wolf who's definitely a huge Zelda fan took it upon herself to create the new look for this year's Anime Expo! The second these pictures were posted I pretty much lost my mind with so much fangirling ^_^.

On first glance, the outfit appears to be extremely simple in nature. Given the type of graphical style Echoes of Wisdom has, there wasn't really any room to go all in on the intricate details. As I look at the pictures though, I have to wonder if Holly managed ok with the insane heat that I figured AX had at the time this was worn. Holly's rocking a long blonde wig with thin bangs on the side as they both hit her ears. A headpiece/crown is adorned and it looks like the wig is placed over it in order to hold it in place. I'm willing to bet that this overall was done in a headband style.

Holly's ears have an elven style attached to them as well. Getting to the bulk of the cosplay, you have a giant cloak/hood that's layered up and drapes down all the way to her legs. The top portion is positioned in a way so that a hood is created. I'm curious if Holly took any photos with the hood up in any interesting places. A white dress with overly flowing sleeves looks to make up the top part with a purple velvet vest layered on top. Here you have a simple brown belt fastened together to hold it in place.

Zelda's main weapon of choice for this game--The Tri Rod--is pretty small in size judging from the pictures I have. Holly enlisted the help of The Dangerous Ladies & SciFeyeCandy for both the costume and staff's creation. The staff is mostly gold with a bright green end towards the bottom. As you travel up the staff, you eventually get into a spiral design! It also looks like Holly's rocking some boots for leg wear but the photos I found don't give off a full costume view. Maybe there's a future photoshoot in store for this cosplay? I know I'd be insanely excited for one :).

That's about everything I got when it comes to Holly's Zelda cosplay from Anime Expo. Seriously I got all excited when she was first posting teasers of her AX lineup. I really hope you guys enjoy the pics I found, if there's any more I'll update this post with ones taken at the event! Be sure to check out the link below if you want access to all of Holly's links. She's simply amazing!
