Pokemon gijinkas are a sure fire way to get me excited about a new cosplayer to follow. Such as the case with Termina Cosplay and her collection of outfits. While she's done several gijinkas from the franchise, it was her Red Gyarados that caught my attention. The famous variant from Gold/Silver is recreated beautifully here and was aptly transformed into a swimsuit for Colossalcon in 2017 (actual debut was at ConAltDelete in 2014!). As stated in the name, there's a whole lot of red meshed with the serpent's signature yellow/gold underside. Termina is rocking a long red wig with a three pronged crown resting in the center. This is Gyarados' head piece beautifully recreated. Slight makeup was added with red markings on her face and gold colored lips too! Scales make up her shoulders and breastplate/bikini top and were beautifully placed and weathered up.

The shoulders are common in shape and design but have the added element of red and white fins poking out and being attached. The white part looks to be of a see through fabric where as the red trim looks to be a similar material to most of the armor. The top piece is full on gold with a Pokeball resting dead center. Along the bottom of this piece are small crystals dangling off. This is such an awesome touch! One arm is decorated with an armguard which is full on red with the scale addition. Golden strings help lace it up!
For the bottom area, Termina has a long white piece of fabric for her center with the bikini piece being the same color as the chest piece. Wrapped around the waist is a long piece of red fabric that ends up being Gyarados' tail which took me a second to piece together. I initially thought she just had a fin on either side as like hip armor but I was pleasantly incorrect! The tail fin looks to be done exactly like the ones shown up on her shoulders. Quickly want to note that one shoulder is layered up whereas the other isn't.

To really finish it off, Termina Cosplay has an amazing staff acting as a weapon prop which has such an incredible design. You've got majority of the handle being red being separated by small gold rings. The bottom pommel is gold with a diamond like shape. Getting towards the top, is where a trident like shape takes place. Gold in color with a red piece acting as the bottom to the middle spike. The spikes itself are all gold. The resort where Colossalcon takes place does a phenomenal job being the backdrop for majority of these photos. Not to mention Termina showing off superb posing and facial expressions matching with Gyarados! Check out the many photos I just had to share with you guys :).

I immediately am looking forward to more of Termina Cosplay's work. Colossalcon will have already happened by the time this post goes live so I'm curious if she created something for it.
