Cosplay Feature: Clarus Polaris' Black Widow
Marvel Rivals is honestly a huge god send for so many cosplayers and myself for just the endless amount of content being made. Whether it's hand-made or custom printed suits, creators are going nuts with bringing these memorable designs to life. By the time you read this, I'll be at PAX East this year and with it being a gaming convention, I'm curious if the game itself will make a splash this year. To help tide you guys over, I have Clarus Polaris and her insane Black Widow! Clarus I found recently through being a fellow Canadian mutual with Holly Wolf. She dabbles in cosplay on top of other avenues of content creation like commentary videos alongside her partner and of course the spicy stuff! For this Black Widow design, Clarus opted to commission a suit that's made up of the various lines & patterns that form up the overall design. In keeping with the character's original color scheme, you have lots of red and black with added hints of grey.
The center of the suit features twin red lines traveling down towards the bottom. Other red inserts can be seen in spots like her shoulder which are actually small armor pieces she attached to the suit. Most likely velcro was used here. That's not the only extra piece added in. Clarus also has a belt around the waist area which has several black circles with red inserts. They all lead to the middle piece being Black Widow's main logo. In addition, you have wrist-guards in place before the weapons come in. Clarus is wielding twin batons/escrina sticks that are black and silver alternating. Don't worry, there isn't any electrical charge in them as far as I know! Two small black boots make up the footwear too! In terms of the hair, I honestly can't tell if it's an altered up wig or Clarus' actual hair since she's naturally a red head! What's left are the absolute KILLER poses that she strikes in nearly all the photos. Got a solid feeling this isn't the first Black Widow cosplay Clarus has done. If it is though, I am absolutely in love with the whole execution! The added jail cell like background adds a lot to the overall presentation of the finalized shots. Check out the other photos and let me know what you think.
