Cosplay Feature: Maru's Jill Warrick!

There's so much of this beautifully done Jill Warrick cosplay that Maru did earlier this year that I hope I'm able to do it justice when it comes to describing it for you all. For Shiva's dominant from Final Fantasy XVI, I truly feel that Maru didn't hold anything back when it came to the cosplay as a whole. The white/blue color combination the character shows is just picture perfect. When photos from the various shoots Maru did were starting to come out, you can be sure that I was losing my mind. Think it would be best to start from the top like always right? That in itself involves a long silver/white wig which comes down to Maru's shoulders on the front end. I'm not completely sure how long it goes down on the back but I'll assume that it's a typical long hair length. The main portion of the cosplay is a white suit/blouse top with a BUNCH of things layered on top. The same can be said for the pants/leg area but we'll get to that soon.
Overlayed on the white is a deep ice blue vest like piece which has some symbols etched onto it in addition to it being weathered in some areas just perfectly. Trying hard not to get so giddy over this cause it makes me so so happy (Shiva was my favorite Eikon to use in the game!). This same shade/material is used in multiple sections of the cosplay. Including a small armguard just above Maru's left wrist, small belts around the upper arms, one arm being fully covered and her pants. That same arm also has a sort of snow gray part just at the end of it. This is also adorned with snowflakes.

The cosplay doesn't get super crazy until you get closer down to end of the blouse. Here you have a more traditional shade of blue in the form of a strap across Maru's chest which loops into the darker blue vest. Twin belts can be seen wrapped near her waist which has that same classic blue but also transitions into white. Directly below you can see a small section covered in a chainmail layer. Various belts can be seen on the other side with some being belts, a fabric piece that has another emblem of sorts and then another emblem covered piece that's hanging off in the middle.

The white section that you see towards the bottom travels all the way down in the back when you look at full body shots that Maru had taken. Starting off on one of her sides whereas the darker blue shade takes effect on the other. The image directly above this paragraph shows this off hopefully better than what my words are describing. Some of the shots show the boots being fully covered by the white and blue that are draping downward. There's one shot that does give a somewhat small look and based on that, I'm guessing that super tall brown boots are used with a whole lot of lacing up involved. Prop wise, Maru has Jill's signature (fencing?) sword which has this great handle cover design. As you get to the blade, you can see a small hint of red that's near the bottom. The blade itself is beautifully coated in a silver shade.

I want to end this Feature gushing about how spot on Maru did with posing and THE CHERRY BLOSSOM TREES IN THE BACKGROUND HELLO?!? Ok I think I got all my fangirling out, apologies if I missed anything! If you want to see more of Maru's work, check out her Linktree below. She's one of the hardest working cosplayers out there between her Patreon, spicy sites and everything else she does. You don't want to miss out :)
