Shutting One Door, Keeping others Open

UPDATED ON 8/20/21: Facebook, Patreon and Blog IG pages have been shutdown/discontinued As the COVID pandemic rages on and cons are even shutting down into 2021, it got me thinking on a drive home one night about how I'd feel with even coming back to blogging. When cons eventually do come back at some point. Truth be told, many of the posts and content I shared here could be transferred over to more discussions via my podcast CosplayBytes. I've been blogging my love for games, cons and cosplay for 7 years now and maybe it's time to say goodbye for now? My podcast has gotten me some incredible opportunities as a member of Press for conventions, and the rapid love I've had for streaming is also taking up a lot of time now. On top of multiple personal things on my end, I don't think I have the energy to keep this up even post COVID you know? The very first cosplay centered post I wrote was on Jessica Nigri's Deadpool, and since then it's spawned over 800 posts

CosplayBytes July 2020 Recap




With me finally being moved in, I'm happy to have brand new episodes of CosplayBytes for July! First off you've got a solo episode from me detailing what cons might be like post pandemic and a lengthy interview with a fantastic individual <3.



CosplayBytes has returned from hiatus! Sorry for the delay, I wanted to take time to discuss how potentially conventions will change their operations once the pandemic has ended. Virtual con alternatives? Panels being done online? This and more are told in this episode. You also get an update sort of things for the immediate future of the show <3




I had the absolute pleasure of chatting with Laika in this long episode all about her career as a content creator. From being a sex worker to utilizing it in helping her music career! She gives her opinion on the shift towards OnlyFans with multiple cosplayers flocking over to it and comparing the platform to Patreon. Not only that, Laika gushes over her gaming history with a love for Halo, Mass Effect and her current gaming state. Mostly it's Animal Crossing plus her being surprised about the new Paper Mario game! Plus she hints at a strong desire to get back into cosplay alongside sharing some convention stories. This was so much fun and I hope you all enjoy!
