It should be common knowledge by now that I am drawn immediately to any & all variations of Starfire cosplays. Even better when it's someone I recently found through the magic of pouring through Instagram. HollowCoded from what I found is no stranger to the Tamaranian princess either as she's done numerous versions of the character. The one I selected for today's write up is one of her more recent/modern outfits. First off, the outfit is split into several sections. As far as the material goes, it's definitely that super shiny vinyl (I think?) and I love how both the purple and silver are sewn together in some of the sections like the shorts and boots. When it comes to Hollow's top, purple gets the most real estate with silver outlining some of the trim lines in both the center as well as the holes that are laid out across.
The holes mentioned are placed directly on each shoulder and connect with the one closest to it on her chest. There's another trim line that extends down from the second hole to the bottom of the piece. The one that's in Hollow's dead center is of course adorned by Starfire's signature green jewel that's represented in all of her appearances across comics & TV. What I found really interesting with this take on the character is how Hollow interpreted the character's signature energy blasts. The silver gloves end right at her wrists but then she has these ruffle like green pieces that act like wristbands.
They look to be a bit bigger which allows Hollow to sort of envelop her fingers into them. Some of the finished shots are edited to take advantage of them and fully make them glow. The shorts start off with a silver waist line before going into purple for the rest. Like the top, some holes can be seen on her sides with another green gem being front and center. The photos I have don't give that great a view of Hollow's footwear BUT I can hazard a guess that you have a silver top trim line that's pointed up before immediately jumping into purple for a middle section then silver boots.
I also LOVE Hollow's wig choice here. Perfectly split up at the top into cute bangs/curls before long strands travel down the front with a longer mane in the back. Another part I really enjoy about this cosplay are the various poses used in the photos. You can tell she captures Starfire's personality/nature mostly seen in the television adaptations. From using the phone incorrectly to the CUTEST pouty lips when kneeling down. Seriously check out these other shots I found for you down below!
