What better way to end out the month of October than with someone both new but also very much into the spooky season with her cosplays. Haley or also known as Haunted Hostess caught my eye a few months back with her really stellar work. In fact if you head on over to her Instagram page, you can see she really takes her cosplay work seriously with tailored rows to each character not to mention the dedication to the backdrops/set design she does! For today, I wanted to throw it back to one of the iconic sisters from the cult classic Hocus Pocus film. Specifically, Haley's choice in portraying Sarah Sanderson. As a whole the outfit looks relatively simple with the Victorian style dress but Haley really sells the witch's personality in a lot of the photos I have to share with you today.
A lot of Haley's looks involve a variety of wigs so I honestly can't tell if the hair is her actual color or the former. In any case, it's pretty perfect! The blonde shade is bright and I love how messy it is in some areas, really referencing how unhinged Sarah can be in the film. Then you have long red arm sleeves that are see through which look to be sewn to the main pink corset top piece. Various string laces can be seen up on towards the top which help give off that sort of busty look that corsets usually give. This part is decorated with a variety of red holes and yellow tiny swirls (from what I can tell).
The remainder of the cosplay consists of a long dress that's sectioned off into three colors. A deeper shade of red sits in the middle with a trim on each side that then transitions into a dark shade of lavender. The photos themselves show pretty much up to this point so I can't really tell what remains in terms of footwear. Haley did an amazing job on the makeup with the lipstick shade and her eyes. This is further enhanced by her poses done in the pictures and the cobweb backing against a dark wooden like background. She nails down Sarah's smile perfectly in addition to all the arm movements. Check out these other shots!
Haley's been really giving it her all with a few passion projects/characters this past month and I highly recommend you all go check out her Instagram in addition to all the other links you'll find through the one below :)
