Keeping the ghost vibes going with another jump back to the massive Pokemon/D&D group that formed during Anime Expo this past summer! Another cosplay that captivated me was Danielle DeNicola's work on a mage version of Haunter. As such, purple is a dominating color here, though it's mostly armor that make up the whole of the cosplay, and portions of the outfit are segmented out into different pieces. Danielle's wig to start greatly contrasts with the deeper shades in the armor. Here, it's a lighter shade (guessing lavender?) which makes it stand out in some of the photos you'll see here. Resting on top of the wig, you have a small crown that definitely has a lot of points sticking up and outward. You'll notice that the armored pieces alternate between either having a black/gray trim line or a purple trim line with the other color acting as the main base being surrounded.

The armor breakdown consists of a small bra like piece, small shoulder pauldrons, arm guards, leg armor and a belt piece that serves as one of the main standout parts. Draping down from the middle of the belt is a design featuring a variety of shapes with a Haunter face right near the top. Haunter and its features/face play a prominent part in the cosplay especially with the large staff. This has got to be my favorite part of the cosplay as a whole. Starting at the top you have a pretty sizable look at Haunter in its signature pose, cackling smile and all. Then you have a big blocky portion that kind of reminds me of lanterns or how some staves will have a cage like part that lights up when magic is being cast.
A Pokeball can be seen next with Haunter's ears and arms poking out of it. Afterwards you travel down a spiral that alternates between purple and grey. The bra piece has small chains draping down from each side. For arm coverings, Danielle opted into having almost velvet like purple sleeves. Tattered up black pants can be seen before you get to the dual leg armor. The spacing on the leg armor is much larger with that deep grey shade and a purple gem being displayed towards the top. The gems can also be seen on her arm gauntlets. I have to imagine that the black pants mentioned earlier make up the base for the armor to then be placed on top of.
Various chains can be seen hanging off Danielle's hips which also include an object of sorts. Perhaps potion bottles or other knick-knacks that mages are known to carry on them during adventures? A lot of the line work in the armor's trim/detailing is very heavy on curvature. I just really admire both Danielle and the work she puts out there consistently. Goes without saying that I'd LOVE to do a podcast episode with her at some point. If you guys want to learn more about Danielle's work then definitely visit her Linktree which even has a link to her full portfolio website! Thanks for reading :)
