Cosplay Showcase: I have a Crush on Malice/Sue Storm

If Overwatch was any indication based on the character designs, then Marvel Rivals easily followed suit with its ever expanding cast of characters. From this current season, the full roster of the Fantastic Four was added and uhhhh, Sue Storm was quite the looker. Aside from being a very fun healer to play as (my main currently) she also made everyone go nuts with her Malice skin which you see above. No it's not something fully original, this was a bizarre evil form Sue took in both the comics and one of the previous cartoons from back in the day. Fully caked up AND feet on display for free? Yep, someone's attracted to her. It's me, I'm fully attracted to her. So I kinda wanted to take today and show off both the Malice & default skin that's worn in the game. Cosplayers Jessica Nigri, Holly Wolf, K8Sarkissian and Lisa Mancini were some among many that got the jump on her. Both of those cosplays are on full display here and I  wanted to talk about both the designs/make-up and some of the finished shots.
Lisa and Holly are seen here wearing the exact same full suit of the default skin Invisible Woman has. I really dig this modernized interpretation of the F4 suit. Heavy use of the white and blue here with some inversion when you compare it to the classic costumes. The 4 is heavily prominent on the chest with white and blue being segmented off in various places. The belt buckle area has a singular pearl like circle in the middle. Also you can see from the photo on the right that the palms are mostly covered in blue while the top side is all white. Can I also just fangirl over how Holly's hairstyle looks here? I think at around this time she had a new look going on and it was making me go nuts on how gorgeous she looks <3.

Both of them do a great job using Sue's default poses and stances and of course show off that caked up asset with the back shots. Respectfully, they both fill out the suit just perfectly. Actually, when comparing both of the suits, Lisa has the belt and shoulder pieces fully built and worn as separate entities. The belt is worn a bit loose but I'm curious if she took something that already existed and modified it or was foam used in the construction. I also like how Lisa's shots were edited in a way that showcases Sue's forcefield like powers.

When it comes to the Malice skin though, that's when things turn up to 11 in terms of the overall look. Here, Jessica and Kate were the ones I picked since theirs were the first I've seen when the costume was first revealed. Kate took her Malice to Katsucon this past February (much like what Holly did with the classic skin) and Jess made hers near immediate when the skin dropped. From the jump one of the skin's signature pieces is the Pinhead like face set up. Jess and Kate have a helmet on which was made to imitate the bandages seen on the actual skin. Plus, you have several spikes poking out of the head alongside a grey wig which itself pokes out of the mask in certain spots. A black one piece leotard looks to be the base for the two of them but then the main chest piece comes into play.

Here you have a blood red center with some black etchings added in but that itself is surrounded by a casing similar to the helmet. The shoulders are also adorned with various spike lengths and they look to be attached somewhat to the chest piece. Black latex like leggings are seen for each leg and they both are designed differently. One side for instance is pretty plain whereas the other is strapped up with red belts and various silver circles. The circles themselves have points/spikes protruding out and it's repeated mostly as back pieces hanging off. Some of Jessica's photos give off a great view of these back pieces and they to me look like they're hung off of the shoulder sections.

Despite the Malice skin having bare feet be part of the cosplay, that doesn't mean footwear armor is completely out of the question. Various armor clasps are wrapped around both of them and of course, spikes. Just way too many spikes XD. Both of the girls have also a red scarf that's seen as the first thing when you get past the mask. Kate's has a more leather like feel whereas Jess went full cloth. I LOVE when cosplayers interpret the character's outfit ever so slightly with details like that. A small classic spike collar can also be seen wrapped around their necks. Various wrappings can be seen on each of their arms and I love how smooth the shoulder armor looks on both of them. Also the wrappings alternate between either black or red with the absent color acting as a trim for their outlines.

Suffice to say, I think I just have a permanent crush on Sue and all of these cosplayers did a fantastic job portraying the various skins you can get in Rivals. Really looking forward to seeing both the upcoming movie but also diving into some of the recent Fantastic Four comics that I've heard great things about! As always, please go follow the cosplayers above via the respective links down below :).
