Cosplay Feature: Cassandra Cosplays Hades!

I wanted to start this post by apologizing for the small hiatus I took from writing posts. Having January off allowed me to do some research and stockpile some features for both this month and March. With Katsucon coming up I feel that afterwards I can gather some cosplays to gush about for you all. With that out of the way, can we talk about Cassandra Cosplays and her wild Hades? Specifically using the iconic Disney movie version, Cassandra did a design inspired by Sakimi-chan and holy smokes did I fangirl hard especially over the wig but we'll get to that soon. Primarily, Cassandra took a lot of shots mostly close up to focus on both the wig and makeup stylings. I definitely can understand why as they're both the standouts for the cosplay overall. I also love the blue/black background editing she did with the finished shots plus effects like the smoke shown in the first shot.
For the main body piece of the cosplay, Cassandra looks to have a long black dress with what looks to be a black cape hanging off from the back of one of her shoulders. Towards the top, you can see a sash traveling down with a blue triangle pattern following that direction. The triangles themselves alternating between upright & upside down. A lot of jewelry and bracelets can be seen decorating Cassandra's neck/collarbone pus one piece placed on top of one of her hands. That piece in particular mimicking skeletal bones which is fitting for the lord of the dead. I like how the makeup is also present in both of these areas and not just her face.

Speaking of, Cassandra is utilizing dark black lipstick and a whole lot of eyeshadow to really darken the areas around her eyes with some gray being plastered about the cheeks. I also love the skull earrings she's wearing too! What's perhaps the big piece for the cosplay is of course the wig. The hair is mostly styled to be fully pointed upwards to mimic that fire effect. Showing off Hades default "blue/calm" state, a variety of said color is used here. Most of the normal blue can be seen towards the base of the wig with some curls/wefts transitioning into an almost ice blue shade.

As you go through the wig and travel to the top, the curls get a bit more intense and even fold into one another. I love how the very top forms up and if you were to just trace the whole outline, you'd definitely get a flame shape. I have to wonder if Cassandra had Hades' anger state/version cross their mind as a future project as I'd LOVE to see how the more rage filled gender bend come about. Would the wig stay the same but have a color change? Or would it be re-styled entirely to match a more chaotic state? Even still, I hope this cosplay excites you much as it did me upon first viewing. Plus, Hercules is one of my all time favorite Disney movies with Hades portrayal being a main reason.

Facepaint/make up isn't just Cassandra's only strong suit as her profile is covered with a slew of other incredible cosplays. I highly suggest you all check out her Instagram via the link below :)
