Cosplay Feature: Seviria Cosplay's Suicune!

Photo by Saffels Photography So when I first saw shots of Seviria Cosplay's take on Suicune, it was pretty much an automatic YES for me to write up about it at some point. Despite the searching I went through on Instagram, I wasn't able to get a ton of shots to share with you guys. That being said, the two I did fine give off a wonderful look at the cosplay as a whole. For some backstory, Seviria took on a design done by artist Villiamboom who drew up the legendary dog Pokemon as a humanoid. In her words, Sev raced to finish this in time for Anime Expo this past summer. Suffice to say, the end result is truly amazing. Suicune happens to be my favorite out of the trio of dogs so it's not a huge surprise that I resonated so much with this cosplay. Starting off at the top, you have the iconic headpiece that's a defining characteristic for Suicune being front and center. My best guess is that insulation foam or some other type of it was used in its construction. Fully color...

Cosplay Feature: OhMySophii's Paine!

Cosplayer OhMySophii always creates some fantastical cosplays when she's not being the social media savvy wizard that I've come to know her as throughout the years. In searching for more outfits of hers to share, I came across her Paine from Final Fantasy X-2 and GOD DAMN THAT WIG <3. So yea, that's what led me to talk about this for you all today! Black with some shiny metal like pieces make up the whole of the cosplay when it comes to the color scheme. Starting with the top piece, you have some dark red straps over her shoulders before getting into said piece. There's a small portion of black before you enter that silvery section which actually goes into covering parts of her arm. This overall piece looks more so like a crop top with it being fastened slightly off center as it was done so in the original design. The red straps continue down through her torso as well and eventually the straps meet at the waist for the belt.

Said belts are also decorated with a variety of skull buckles to match Paine's motif. You've also got small black gloves as well as leg coverings which lead into some striking tall heel boots. Part of her kneecap is also covered in an interesting design with some awkwardness. Course that's only because some of the designs for FFX/X-2 are a bit out there XD. As I mentioned at the top of the post, Sophii has an absolutely killer wig going on done in a smokey grey color. Hair strands are poking out towards the front and I'm seriously in love with the whole look.

Sophii's weapon prop isn't as large as it looks in game but it's certainly spot on! Small in size so that it's easy to carry, you've got a red handle followed by the blade. The bottom of which has a circular design with a skull in the center. Following this, the blade curves down very nicely. The coloring and bevel effects is super on point. Alongside Termina Cosplay as Rikku, Sophii does a marvelous job posing solo and in duo shots. The photos are also stunning, done and edited as if they were at Besaid from the game. Seriously check these out :)

Sophii did say she'd send me more shots to share with you all so stay tuned for this post being updated! Also heads up there may be a lack of posts at some points due to how the cosplay community is right now with the current pandemic affecting convention lifestyle.
