Cosplay Feature: Shir0gami's Meta Knight!

Photo by RandomBystanderHere As someone who both is a huge fan of Meta Knight as a character in addition to having cosplayed as him years ago, I am ALWAYS gonna shout about any other takes on the famed swordsman. Shir0gami is one such person and created an amazing gijinka of him for this past MAGFest (yep, still on that event!). It's funny how for Shiro, Kirby Air Ride was her first exposure to the character as noted in one of her pinned posts on Instagram. Starting off the cosplay, you have Meta Knight's imposing mask which is the form taken for this cosplay. Shiro has a face mask done perfectly for MK in both the design and grey coloring. The visor slit gives her the ability to see which hopefully she was while in movement. Man, it's hard for me to not compare it to mine years ago and how what I made is vastly inferior to this XD. After the visor, you then have the iconic cape which includes to high propped up collar. This portion has a white layer for the opposite side t...

Cosplay Feature: Yaya Han's Batgirl!

The minute I found out that Yaya Han was creating Batgirl, I was overly excited to see the final result. Is my favoritism for DC showing? Sorry but this cosplay looks incredible! The armor definitely has that comic book look, hell even from a movie and the red/orange hair looks beautiful on her! The cowl was commissioned by sculptor Reevzfx (who makes awesome stuff by the way!) with everything else being handled by Yaya. Now most of the stuff I'm gonna mention about how this was constructed can be found on her Facebook page so it'll at least be shortened down so it's not completely long :). For starters, the armor was created with plastic and urethane rubber then painted with tons of black!

The under-suit was fashioned with pleather all patterned and the boot covers, gloves and cape were made with a matching material but all in a pretty gold color scheme!  The cape is black on the inside and according to Yaya, swooshes alot! The gauntlets were done with Worbla and foam and the gloves were created from scratch! Pretty much pleather was used on everything except the armor. The setting and poses Yaya makes in the pictures below are amazing and definitely fitting for Batgirl. This is definitely one cosplay I would love to see in person at a convention one day. Just look at those battle stances :D. Enjoy the pictures guys!
