Cosplay Feature: Jess Blaze Cosplay's Lenne!

Shot by Savanyahs Who the HECK is Lenne?!? I always love seeing Jess Blaze Cosplay continue the Final Fantasy rabbit hole she's in with all the cosplays she's done from the franchise. Tackling the mysterious singer from X-2 alongside her friend Kam C Cosplay (as Yuna) felt like a natural next cosplay for her to create. This also wasn't Jess' first foray into the many dress-spheres that the sequel focused on. For the originator of the Songstress job class, there's a whole lot of blue here which you see immediately with the main top piece and arm sleeves. Starting from there, you have essentially a blue vest that has lighter blue frills along the edges. The dress also has differing lengths for each side. One giving off a midriff look whereas the other extends longer past the black skirt.

Cosplay Feature: Kate Sarkissian's Feraligatr!

Anime Expo has come and gone and it's always a blast seeing what cosplayers bring whether it's a tried and true outfit or something brand new. I feel like for many of the conventions Kate's attended, she has a drive to create something brand new. It's definitely fun watching her share mini crafting videos on her Instagram stories. Nice little glimpse into the WIP setup! When it was shared that she was going to be doing a gijinka of Feraligatr from Pokemon's second generation, I really got amped up and excited. If you're not aware, Totodile is my all time favorite Pokemon starter and his evolution line is pretty fantastic. My own history with Feraligatr on my team goes all the way back to the days of Pokemon Colosseum! Kate's version of the water type is definitely skimpy in some ways but when you're in the blazing summer heat in CA, you got to make sure you're comfortable right? The main top piece consists of two parts covering up her chest with the coloring being the same as what's going on with the tabard like part on the lower area.

Also god damn do some shots really show off Kate's abs! I know she works out pretty frequently and the work is definitely pulling off! A lot of the other pieces to this cosplay are various armor pieces that Kate has attached. Many of them are laid on top of that same white shad of cloth. In fact as I was opening the photos up to get a better view, a LOT more was shown so let's try to start from the top. Feraligatr's color scheme is red & blue so that's common throughout the cosplay. Kate's wig is brightly blue with a section of red that's set in the middle. Traveling down from behind her just a little bit. The shots I did find don't share just how long it really goes. Covering her back she has a red cloth acting like a cape of sorts before you get down to her waist.

Her main top piece is pretty secured up and the waist itself has hip armor on the sides which I'll get to in a bit. You have an adorable little tail that's poking out behind her that's blue with red fins along its top. Getting to the armor portions now, most of them are the same in their construction and makeup. Along Kate's hip, arms & shoulder, you have layered pieces. They're all blue in color with an awesome alligator like texture to them. Along its edges, you have a darkened outline and various spikes protruding outwards on key points. The hip armor hangs off but the bottom portion looks like it's tied along her thighs via red straps.

You can kinda see a look into Kate's leg armor but not in its full splendor. From what I can see however, it looks like it's the same as the blue armor pieces that she has elsewhere. Foam looks to be the main ingredient to their construction. So what's left? Well, while one of the shoulder pieces has that same blue setup, the other is fashioned into a Feraligatr skull 0-0. Complete with the red spikes coming off at the top.  This is definitely held in place across all the photos. Weapon wise, Kate opted for a club like item fully made and fashioned like a bone. Various straps are wrapped around towards the top with red blade like parts added to finish it all off. Kate's also rocking some white stripes over one eye and a lot of dirt/makeup is added across her full body. Definitely some sex appeal added in but I just absolutely LOVE the creativity Kate puts into a lot of her cosplays. I originally wanted to write about her Rocket Raccoon cosplay taken from Marvel Rivals' design as well for this piece but not many photos of it were shared at the time of this piece being written.

Kate's work has only gotten better as she keeps cosplaying, I highly HIGHLY recommend you guys follow her work, both cosplay & spicy stuff through her link down below. You won't be disappointed :). Really trying to get her on my podcast again too!
