Cosplay Feature: Gray Oranges' Rikku!

Photo by David Ngo I won't ever shy away from writing about cosplays of Rikku's look from Final Fantasy X-2 and Gray Orange did a fantastic job portraying her in both the overall cosplay look PLUS the pose work. Of course I'll get to all that in due time but let's start at the top! It's certainly a cosplay worn for several events and I want to say I first saw this in the overall collection of MAGFest photos back in January of this year. I really love how the multiple braid strands are integrated into the blonde wig for starters. I can't tell if they're either part of the wig itself or the blue headband that's wrapped around. In any case, following this is a red scarf wrapped around Irini's neck before you then get to the yellow bikini top. Here, you can also see orange trim lines as part of the piece. Oh, I forgot to mention that the red scarf actually travels all the way down to her legs. These end points then transition to a yellow/orange gradient!

Cosplay Feature: Jess Blaze Cosplay's Lenne!

Shot by Savanyahs

Who the HECK is Lenne?!? I always love seeing Jess Blaze Cosplay continue the Final Fantasy rabbit hole she's in with all the cosplays she's done from the franchise. Tackling the mysterious singer from X-2 alongside her friend Kam C Cosplay (as Yuna) felt like a natural next cosplay for her to create. This also wasn't Jess' first foray into the many dress-spheres that the sequel focused on. For the originator of the Songstress job class, there's a whole lot of blue here which you see immediately with the main top piece and arm sleeves. Starting from there, you have essentially a blue vest that has lighter blue frills along the edges. The dress also has differing lengths for each side. One giving off a midriff look whereas the other extends longer past the black skirt.

The lighter blue frills makes up the main portion of the longer side of the top. While both Jess & Kam did the same cosplay, the side by side you see can show even the slightest shade difference in the main blue portions. The skirts also differ between the two of them as well. I can't really make it out in some of the shots but I looks like Jess' version includes black shorts with a lace see-through skirt over it. A blue belt can be seen also wrapped around her waist.

The sleeves are the same blue color as I mentioned earlier and have full openings for the hands to be freed up. Small black straps can be seen along the arm before hitting the sleeve portion. You can even see the straps on them almost segmenting up the sleeves themselves. Footwear includes long brown boots and Jess' wig is more so on the long front compared to Yuna's short cut that Kam is rocking. Jess' wig also includes a myriad of color braids down the sides. Both of the girls have the same styled microphone as a prop in the shots you'll see down below.

The microphone itself has a green pattern along the handle before transitioning to silver and then the head of the mic being a bit more lower/subdued compared to a traditional looking one. The head is encased in a circular design as well. Jess really lets her smile shine in all of the shots I found in addition to both her and Kam recreating one of the signature poses/promotional artwork. I'm a huge sucker for blue centered cosplays and the colors just shine so much. I hope you guys enjoy the remaining shots I have :).
