Cosplay Feature: Kay Bear Cosplay's Rouge the Bat!

There's just something about Kay Bear Cosplay where she just emanates so much beauty in any sort of shoot she participates in. Cosplay, lingerie, you name it and Kay just looks stunning! Today, I wanted to share her Rouge the Bat cosplay from the Sonic franchise. As the infamous thief, Kay brings a playful side to the character mostly with the poses and facial expressions she makes in the pictures I found online. Plus, the cosplay overall looks simple and comfy so I imagine this wasn't a huge issue wearing for long periods of time. For starters, I LOVE the wig Kay has up at the top. It's a cute style going down to her shoulders and has a lot of waves added on to it. The ears being added up at the top is such a perfect addition to it too! The name of the game color wise is a whole lot of pink and white which you'll see in both the arm sleeves & boots but I'll get to those in a bit!

STRUCK FIRST: Sutefaniiroozu as Meta Knight!

Struck First gives you a first look at a cosplay just as it's been debuted/had its first photoshoot. Cosplayers have been kind enough to let me have a first crack at analyzing the cosplay by providing me with brand new pictures.

Watching Steph (aka Sutefaniiroozu) grow in making cosplay her full time profession is nothing short of inspiring. Her dedication and drive is just such a marvel to see which makes me all the more excited to share with you this cosplay today. Better yet, she gave me some notes in terms of how she went about creating Meta Knight. This version of the famed Kirby character is much more skimpier but that's cause the cosplay was debuted at ColossalCon (either the main one or East's location). The cosplay includes all of MK's key parts of his design, from the small wings coming out the back, to the mask laid on its side. There's also the armor which was beautifully painted. I love the difference in texture that the breastplate and shoulder pieces seem to have!

Steph mentions how both the mask and sword were 3D modeled for her to then 3D print out. It's quite the undertaking and I just love how it all came out in the end. The weathering details are fabulous and I've always loved Meta Knight's color scheme (it's why I cosplayed as him before too!). Stephanie also has small wrist cuffs done in silver with some gold trim lines. The white gloves are also slick here! Her boots are pretty massive in size and full on purple. The style here seems practical if she were to fully go into battle!

From here, I'll let Steph take over a bit as she talks about what went into building this!

"Cosplay & character concept design made by me! All armor was made from Eva foam, sealed in plastidip and painted. The wings were actually from amazon! (Link to the exact wings I used on my amazon influencer page ;D ) & I dyed them blue with mixture of acrylic ink and rubbing alcohol! Hip armor attached with a chain I found at hobby lobby. Mask and Sword printed & painted by me! Galaxia sword 3D modeled by @AlexPriceDesign (Instagram) Mask 3D modeled by LordGarth6 (thingiverse.com)"

The wig here is on the long end and of a hugely deep shade of blue. You've also got cloth hanging down from the middle of her belt. The photos do an amazing job of showing off each part of the cosplay in stellar fashion. Seriously you get a pretty solid look at them in addition to the details that went into them! I really hope you all enjoyed this collaboration!
