Cosplay Feature: Gray Oranges' Rikku!

Photo by David Ngo I won't ever shy away from writing about cosplays of Rikku's look from Final Fantasy X-2 and Gray Orange did a fantastic job portraying her in both the overall cosplay look PLUS the pose work. Of course I'll get to all that in due time but let's start at the top! It's certainly a cosplay worn for several events and I want to say I first saw this in the overall collection of MAGFest photos back in January of this year. I really love how the multiple braid strands are integrated into the blonde wig for starters. I can't tell if they're either part of the wig itself or the blue headband that's wrapped around. In any case, following this is a red scarf wrapped around Irini's neck before you then get to the yellow bikini top. Here, you can also see orange trim lines as part of the piece. Oh, I forgot to mention that the red scarf actually travels all the way down to her legs. These end points then transition to a yellow/orange gradient!

Cosplay Feature: PureLight Cosplay's Starfire!

What first attracted me to Purelight Cosplay was the abundance of Starfire cosplays she's made in her time being in this hobby. Since I mainly ship Nightwing with Starfire, it was only natural that I had to feature one of these gorgeous outfits! Which one though? I don't think I've seen her latest outfit cosplayed yet so that eventually won out in the end. This version of the alien princess is based around her look in the current series going on in the New 52. Mainly consisting of a cute top with sleeves included. Incredibly cute booty shorts make up the bottom area with long leggings for her legs and feet. I love the shade of purple that's seen here, definitely suits Starfire so well. I can't remember if Purelight said the coloring of her skin was real of photoshopped in, either way it really makes her look the part! Throughout the cosplay are spots of silver as well!

These silver areas can be seen on her chest and the ends of her sleeves. The shorts have an interesting design to them with the silver part wrapping around towards the center. Green jewels are placed both there and high up on her chest. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the gorgeous long wig she's wearing too! The length seems to go just about to her torso/stomach.

The photos themselves are pretty great. Some have Purelight against a purple background, others show her outside around a fitting scenery. As big of a Starfire fan I am, seeing this cosplay just makes me so happy. Still have it on my cosplay bucket list to do a photoshoot with a Starfire cosplayer while I'm Nightwing! Purelight's love for the character is apparent here and I hope you guys love the other photos as much as I do! <3

Definitely check out Purelight Cosplay's page on FB if you haven't yet! As I mentioned above, she's done several other versions of Starfire not to mention Tinkerbell, Raven and a bunch of other awesome female characters! You won't be disappointed!
