Cosplay Feature: Kay Bear Cosplay's Rouge the Bat!

There's just something about Kay Bear Cosplay where she just emanates so much beauty in any sort of shoot she participates in. Cosplay, lingerie, you name it and Kay just looks stunning! Today, I wanted to share her Rouge the Bat cosplay from the Sonic franchise. As the infamous thief, Kay brings a playful side to the character mostly with the poses and facial expressions she makes in the pictures I found online. Plus, the cosplay overall looks simple and comfy so I imagine this wasn't a huge issue wearing for long periods of time. For starters, I LOVE the wig Kay has up at the top. It's a cute style going down to her shoulders and has a lot of waves added on to it. The ears being added up at the top is such a perfect addition to it too! The name of the game color wise is a whole lot of pink and white which you'll see in both the arm sleeves & boots but I'll get to those in a bit!

Guest Piece: Kansas City Comic Con Report!

Written by Sophie of Ultra Girls Cosplay.

As half of Ultra Girls Cosplay, I had the pleasure of attending Kansas City Comic Con as a cosplay guest this past weekend. It was the conventions first year and it's safe to say I was absolutely blown away.

Typically, first year cons we've attended, while still crazy fun, are slow to start - attendance is low, celebrity guests are hard to come by and the over all convention is a bit of a mess. Now that's not a negative, it's expected growing pains for any new convention and definitely does not determined the outcome of the con for years to come. It's hard work getting word out, even in a smaller community,
but Kansas City Comic Con pulled out all the punches!

Ultra Girls Cosplay was among other wonderful cosplay guests such as IBOTS - Iron Brothers of Topeka, Alexa Heart, Dennis Butt, Aaron Rabe and many others! The attendants' cosplays were mind blowing - it's safe to say Kansas City is full of mad talent. We are talking movie quality cosplays left and right.

Besides the cosplay, duh, the celebrity guest line up was probably the most exciting part of KCCC for me and my team. We had the pleasure of not only meeting Manu Bennett but chatting with him outside of the convention for a bit too. While we are all internally fangirling, he acted like he was just an average Joe and not Deathstroke in the flesh. And then there was Trina Nishimura - voice actress for Attack on Titan's Mikasa and Evangelion's Mari to name a few - not only fangirled with us, but sported one of the custom bow's Cissa makes. Kansas City Comic Con was also graced with Sean Astin, Colin Baker, Kristian Nairn, Austin St. John, and Cerina Vincent just to name a few! It was jam packed with nerdy celebrity goodness for all fandoms, which isn't something we often see from a convention that dubs itself a 'comic con'.

The wide variety of fandoms for every type of nerd and vendors/artists of all skill sets really made Kansas City Comic Con's first year a huge hit and Ultra Girls Cosplay cannot wait to see what they have in store for next year!
