Cosplay Feature: Gray Oranges' Rikku!

Photo by David Ngo I won't ever shy away from writing about cosplays of Rikku's look from Final Fantasy X-2 and Gray Orange did a fantastic job portraying her in both the overall cosplay look PLUS the pose work. Of course I'll get to all that in due time but let's start at the top! It's certainly a cosplay worn for several events and I want to say I first saw this in the overall collection of MAGFest photos back in January of this year. I really love how the multiple braid strands are integrated into the blonde wig for starters. I can't tell if they're either part of the wig itself or the blue headband that's wrapped around. In any case, following this is a red scarf wrapped around Irini's neck before you then get to the yellow bikini top. Here, you can also see orange trim lines as part of the piece. Oh, I forgot to mention that the red scarf actually travels all the way down to her legs. These end points then transition to a yellow/orange gradient!

Cosplay Feature: Vampy Bit Me's Agnés Oblige!

One of the games I'm really looking forward to playing is Bravely Default for the Nintendo 3DS. The game made by Square Enix has gained lots of love for being a call-back to some of the old school RPG's like Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger. Another person who definitely loves it is cosplayer Linda Le/Vampy Bit Me! How much does she love it? Around the time when the game came out to shortly afterwards, Linda picked it up and I swear all I saw from her were tweets and post to how addicting this game is for her. Grinding up to level 100 for the main characters and maxing out job levels. This was definitely something Vampy enjoyed playing on her travels to cons and free time. It's no surprise that she eventually created a cosplay from it and the character she chose was Agnés Oblige in the Vampire job class!

When I saw the ears, I was not expecting it at all to look vampire related though you definitely can make the case for them being bat ears. The black coat and gloves are elegant looking and the white collar makes this more like an adorable vampire rather than a menacing one. The suit itself is a crop top with a variety of different angled belts with buckles and shorts for the pants. Knee high socks are also shown with a black star pattern and a brace on one leg. Not only that, but Linda made a prop for her which is one of the weapons used for the class! The sword is beautifully painted with a blend of pink and purple. The location used in the shoot is beautiful and perfect for Agnés. The brown hair looks incredible on her as well!

I know you told me to wait for when you made the second prop to do this feature Vampy but I had to do this cause I didn't want to wait to talk about how amazing this cosplay is. If there's one thing I love about her is she takes lots of characters from some of my favorite RPG's like Luca from Chrono Trigger and more recently, Tifa Lockhart in her original outfit from Final Fantasy 7 (WHICH LOOKS AWESOME) :D Enjoy the photos guys!
